The Most Extraordinary Cruise Vacations—
Coming in 2008...
Throughout time, the coast has been synonymous
with new beginnings. It has always been nature’s nursery, a place where the struggle for
new life has always begun. For Explorers, Pilgrims,
Conquistadors and Buccaneers, it was the gateway to
adventure, opportunity and new life. For American
Coastal Voyages, America’s newest U.S. Flag cruise line it
means the birth or re-birth of two extraordinary smallcruise
ships. In the spring of 2008 the mv Cape Cod
Light, will be the first of the two ships to enter service with 35 separate itineraries.
The mv Cape May Light’s inaugural season will introduce alternative itineraries and
will operate starting in the spring of 2009.
Redefining Small-Ship Cruising...
Many of
today’s U.S. small-ships are more than 20-years old and
offer more austere accommodations. Built in 2001 our
226-passenger small-ships are reminiscent
of the elegant and luxurious
Coastal Steamers that plied the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway
and Eastern coasts of the U.S. over a century ago. Once onboard, you
will find yourself surrounded by a casual elegance and an atmosphere
of comfort and warmth. Onboard features include 112 spacious staterooms
and suites with the most modern guest comfort features to
relax between adventures ashore. Each has twin or oversize queen
beds, satellite TV’s and DVD players, room safes, ship-to-shore telephones, E-mail access,
and outside staterooms have expansive viewing windows. Onboard features include two
passenger elevators, a fine dining restaurant,
nightly variety entertainment in two showrooms,
deck-side lounge, in-room Continental Breakfast,
Pursers Office and a spacious gift shop. Rich Mahogany
woodwork, art lined walls and leaded glass chandeliers
and lamps from Tiffany & Co. add to the luxurious
touches. The friendly all-American crew of about
70 includes a ship
Historian, Concierge,
and entertainment staff
along with the ship
own band.
Exotic and colorful 2008 and 2009 itineraries are now in development by our operations
team. Unique and in many cases exclusive vacation elements are being incorporated into
these cruises with the purpose of enhancing the overall guest experience. The rare elegance
of these intimate coastal small cruise ships, fascinating and exciting shore tours included in
the price of the cruise, sumptuous cuisine, nighttime entertainment and the camaraderie of
like-minded travelers will blend to create an extraordinary vacation experience.
American Coastal Voyages—
Next Steps
The American Coastal Voyages (ACV) management team led by John Waggoner, President / CEO of
Hornblower Marine Services USA is comprised of highly experienced and accomplished executives familiar
with the operation of cruise, ferry and casino vessels. Over the following months, ACV will continue to
develop its planned US and international itineraries, land operations as well as set pricing and marketing
strategies. The ships, one launching in spring 2008 and the other early 2009 will undergo a process of
reconditioning and refurbishment to meet the high standards we know our cruise guests will expect.
In preparation for a formal marketing launch in early 2007, we are interested in beginning a dialog with
prospective marketing partners and other interested parties, both in the U.S. and Internationally.
